Medical and dental appointments, or going into the hospital. It used to be just dentists. It still is dentistry. But since some nightmare events in my last-but-one hospitalization and some previous nightmarish hospitalizations and a whole lot of runarounds, misdiagnoses, abuse and outright malpractice all my life, it's built to an actual phobia of going into any hospital for anything or going to doctor appointments. A lot of those misdiagnoses and errors were life and health threatening. The most common life-threatening one is doctors in ERs trying to give me penicillin when I'm deathly allergic and told everyone every time I talked to them. Sometimes the needle's only an inch or so from my arm before I manage to blurt out "Penicillin allergy" and watch the quick U-turn as the resident turns green and hastily puts it away -- and runs away, leaving the next trainee to come up and try it again.
