Underhand Grip

Underhand Grip
4" x 6"
Black Prismacolor Watercolor pencil on paper, from life. Drawn for a post I did about drawing in which I mentioned using an underhand grip. I wasn't sure if the person who had trouble shading knew what that was, so I went ahead and did today's art as a technical illustration. Drew my own hand going in and out of the pose since I couldn't actually DO that drawing using the underhand grip, except the swoosh of shading coming from the point of the drawn pencil.

Still got this flu. Got sorta feverish today on and off with chills. I'm getting really annoyed at this.

That's how a lot of kids seem to start out holding pencils and forks. At least, that was the case in my family.

Interesting. I never realized that.
