Estemmenosuchus Again!

Estemmenosuchus Inked wip
5" x 7"
Pigma Micron pen on 140lb cold press watercolor paper. Photo reference by eyepaint on WetCanvas.com for the October 16 weekend drawing event, the photo reference was just the skull of the animal and I did some further research looking at full skeletons and some background material before drawwing this reconstruction.

It's cold here, and the flu is still lingering but maybe it's starting to break up. Sometimes I almost feel normal. I've been so exhausted lately though that it's taking a lot out of me. I hope it's over by the time Nanowrimo starts.

One of the worst things about getting so sick for so long is that I wound up bored out of my skull.

Ooh, what a cool critter! Some kind of moose precursor?

Way way way way back, maybe. It's a mammal-like reptile, a therapsid. It lived in the Permian long before mammals and dinosaurs came along. It did have a mooselike lifestyle though.
