Why I took it easy today!

Yesterday I cut the mats and finished framing Rosendal's Orangerie by Charlotte Herczfeld, my teacher in the Colourist method. Here's the image of the painting from her website:

Rosendal's Orangerie
12" x 16"
Pastel on Fisher sanded pastel paper
By Charlotte Herczfeld.
This is NOT one of my paintings, this is inspiration! The image doesn't begin to do it justice, it brightens my room day or night and glows ... it's incredible. I love her work. I still need to frame the smaller plein air sketch she worked from and the beautiful portrait of Ari that she gave me. Photos to come when I get to that.

Right now my back has been giving me "you overdid it yesterday" whinging all day, so I stayed put and worked on whatever was in reach. Well worth it, Orangerie is finally safe on my wall instead of hidden under a piece of foam board and glassine!
