Missed yesterday's daily art

But here's today's plus the last few days.

I did something on the sixth and seventh, but not the eighth. I spent most of yesterday just sleeping, trying to knock out the bug. Still got it but today isn't as bad.

More color explorations on the 6th, with a life sketch of Ari using some of the same watercolors.

On the seventh, I watched Big Cat Diary on Netflix and did some sketching from video of lionesses, leopards and cheetah as well as a tree.

Today did a charcoal sketch from the Weekend Drawing Event hosted by artastic on WetCanvas.com, couldn't resist the photo of a cat in a sink.

I'm still trying to do

I'm still trying to do <lj-user="artsomofo"> this year, but missed a day due to being that sick. Annoying, but I'm keeping on with my sketchbook in a month challenge. Going to have to do some serious catching up.

Ari's so handsome. How old is he now?

He's ten. I got him in 2000 around the 4th of July, he was six weeks old. So he was born in April 2000. He'll be eleven next April. He's very healthy and not fat at all, it really is mostly fluff that makes his belly hang down - the skin's quite loose. He's a very muscular cat on a big frame, 15lb of solid strength. The vet said he had the teeth of a two year old. So I think he's going for some serious longevity even though he's naturally darkening with age.

Cedric's belly's like that too. Big fluffy bellies are so cute.

Irresistible - except that scritching it is a signal to Ari that I want him to play rough and grab with all his claws and teeth! He's very ticklish in his fuzzy tummy. Cats either love a tummy rub or hate it.
