Two pages today...


Pastel landscape from a photo reference by Paula Ford, the same one I used for the 20 Stroke painting earlier in this sketchbook. I really like this reference.

Then I got out some watercolor pencils and did this page from this weekend's Weekend Drawing Event challenge, photos by ddpatterson on WetCanvas.com -



That leaves me with two pages left out of 50 and two days left in the month. I think I'm going to do it, fill a sketchbook in a month. That's just freaky. I've been intimidated yet fascinated by that idea for so long, but did it - and during one of the nastiest months of the year too. September and October are the worst in Arkansas, just like spring was in Kansas.

Thanks! That was a great reference. I didn't put in the fire behind them or their curlicue iron bases but they're very cool - and some of the artists did.
