Writer's Block: How could you?

Would you ever take someone back after they cheated on you, and why? What could change your mind?

Already did, more than once. It turned into a circular argument. My reaction: "Okay, cool, we can have an open relationship." Followed by my ex responding a few weeks later "I'm too jealous to stand an open relationship" so "Okay, we can try monogamy for a while." Rinse and repeat. That wasn't what broke us up. My ex used to get so mad that I didn't get jealous, the point was to hurt me and it didn't because I wasn't jealous.

Heh, that's definitely not how most people would've reacted. ;)

I know. It's just one of the ways that I acculturated different. I grew up in the fifties and the sixties liberated me. I took the whole free love thing seriously and accept anyone's relationships for what they are.

I don't like jealousy in any form, it's pointless and destructive. If I'm afraid my lover's going to leave me, the problems cannot be solved just by starting a fight over my lover being attracted to other people. If the relationship's good, something casual is not going to change it. If it's not, the problems don't have to do with that outside interest.
