Portrait with Lorikeet and Frangipani, 9" x 12" Prismacolor Premier colored pencils and watercolor on Crescent No. 1 museum board.

ACEO Cockatoo, 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" Derwent Drawing Pencils on buff Canson Mi-Tientes tinted art paper.

I finished [info]lilcrabbygal's portrait this afternoon around four in the afternoon. It went slowly on the leaves, I was mixing colors and fussing over each leaf and posted progress two or three times just for adding more leaves, but it looked more real at every go and that helped motivate me to continue. I knew if I worked on it and let myself take breaks as needed that I could finish it today, and I did. My relief was incredible. It's finally done!
