Second artwork of the day...



ACEO Rooster started out to be something completely different. I erased, and a few vestigial lines reminded me of a rooster, so I quickly sketched him in. I noticed I was using a Derwent Outliner as my pencil. Then it dawned on me that I could get very colorful with that, and so I added the two hens in the background, some lines for dirt, some more tail feathers, and began to color him. I love the strong colors I get with Inktense.

This is bolder and looser than I usually draw birds, but I had fun with it and hope country fans and chicken lovers get into him too. Hey, it's the quiet kind of rooster that won't wake you up!
