Writer's Block: Feeling Better

What makes you feel better when you're mad?

Journaling offline and looking at it from all sides, calming down to think about it in journal. Depends on what I'm mad about and how impersonal the situation is. I tell them off in a cold, legalistic way in any situation where I'm dealing with impersonal bureaucrats or medical authorities, I don't get all quiet and passive with them because it's no use. That never gets me anything, but that cold voice 'hint of lawsuit' tone sometimes gets me somewhere with the officious. Depends on just how far over the line they have strayed.

What really makes me feel better in that situation is winning the argument, getting what I set out to from them (which is usually what they were supposed to do in the first place) but seeing that look of fear and forced compliance in their eyes when they give it, after they're used to just shoving people around and bluffing. Calling their bluffs is wonderful. I've won some and it's a great feeling.
