Aubergine was done in Derwent Graphitints using Dark Indigo, Aubergine (eggplant purple), Port (purplish red), Cocoa, Chestnut, Slate Green and Ivy from the 12 color set in my Graphitints Sketch Kit/set/whatever they called it. The little leather case one that Blick had on Clearance. I did it in the A6 hardcover sketchbook in the set. I had intended to wash it and bring up the colors more, but I loved how it came out dry. I sprayed fixative instead and scanned it. This one was over two hours of serious insanity this morning trying to follow every stupid overlapping leaf, stem and shadow in that background, which I more or less did. There are several buried partly visible other eggplants besides the big one in it.

Like other sketchbook ones, this is so not for sale. It's 3 1/2" x 5", a different size from my usual ACEOs.
