Nanowrimo Day 2 -- 6,680

Just finished chapter 2 and thought it was a good time to post. Actually since the time changes tonight, I did do that before midnight.

Current total: 6,680.

Despite having a sluggish miserable pain-day with a horribly late start, I'm still moving on this. Had the mystical bit in a forest with magical animals that aren't talking. Don't know what comes next.

I also did this odd still life for "Still Life the Colourful Way" by Colorix on WetCanvas. It's the second class I'm taking online and this deceptively simple piece took one false start and most of the day to finish. I'll probably mat it and either keep it or put it in the December show rather than list it on eBay. The scan is fairly accurate but it's an odd size and needs matting to make sense.

It was from a reference posted by Colorix and done with all of her instructions in the class, really a class project. I used Nupastels on white Canson Mi-Tientes for it. Don't want to give the false idea that the idea or anything about it was original to me, but did want to share it because it came out well.

Thanks! Today has been better, and I'm about to post some weird art in stages.

I don't know about you, but the results of last night's election left me feeling LOTS better! Still tired because of the exertion but SO happy that the pain just got squashed out!

Yeah, the three states that voted discrimination IN were a downer. But I have hopes that this is going to change the direction of the country in a big way and that we'll gain back what we lost on the gay marriage front.
