Writer's Block: Gobble Gobble

Today is Thanksgiving in the U.S., one of the few American holidays where the only things you're expected to buy are groceries. Some cooks like to go all out (see: turducken), others prefer to just go out. What kind of cook are you?

The kind that doesn't cook but thanks the cook very graciously for doing so. Actually when I lived on my own I would get turkey cheap, especially the day after, and loved roasting a turkey because I'd have all this food and plenty of leftovers. I would share some with my cat, get canned cranberry sauce with berries in, mix mashed potatoes from a box or nuke a potato to go with it and maybe buy a pie.

I like the traditional foods but I don't cook. Roasting the turkey if I was up to lifting it at all was good for a long time of not having to cook afterward. When I couldn't do that I'd get a turkey breast roll and put that in the oven, open cans and eat by myself. It depended on my strength that year, though it was cheaper geting the whole turkey.
