Peacock Pyrite -- semi-daily art

Peacock Pyrite, about 3 1/2" square (cropped from 4" x 6" sketchbook page), Erengi oil pastels on ProArt sketchbook paper. I used the gold, silver and bronzy gold in the Erengi set plus a little Sennelier Iridescent White to try to capture the shiny metallic look of the blue-green-violet areas.

Today has not been a good day. I got up and then wound up back in bed an hour and a half later, totally wiped out. I've spent most of the day curled up reading. It was beautiful, sunny, very lovely out but I was so sick I could not enjoy it. :P

At least I did a small stone study today though.
