Spring Cleaning at a standstill...

Yesterday I was way too sick to do any more sorting and putting away, so the basket and heap are still where they were. Today I'm still in a lot of pain and feeling weak, sick, weird and grumpy so it's not likely to move again.

Ari decided to chase imaginary small monkeys on the bookshelf and knocked a half dozen large books down onto my right side art supply table which pushed four cups of pencils, graphite and colored pencils mostly but also some paintbrushes and other things, onto the floor where they scattered under the table and behind the chair. I spent an hour sorting those out from behind the chair and under the table, exhausting and hard on my back... just to get to where I was at before I started.

The cats are now enjoying a well-earned rest from having assisted in spring cleaning. Obviously Ari needed to demonstrate that wasn't a good place to keep those cups of pencils.

I've got to laugh. But I'm not going back to bed because I'd have to disturb them to get in and they are so comfortable curled up on the waterbed. I'm beginning to see that my room is mostly an art studio/office that happens to have a waterbed rather than a cot in it. It is also Cat Central and I've been getting QuickCam photos of them all day. They don't seem to mind that as much as the flash camera.

I'm sorry you're feeling so rubbish. Maybe you should get one of those cushy massaging armchairs to fall asleep in when the kitties steal your bed? ;oP

I am so tempted. Thanks for another possibility for what to do when the stimulus money arrives next month. I could go looking on eBay for one. I used to have one and it did such good things for my back and for the general fatigue. Even if all I get is one of the massage pads you put into an existing chair, it could make a huge difference.

The one I used to have was wonderful, it was the entire chair covered in black leather with a chrome frame, looked classy and had a footrest that massaged my legs. I get a lot of pain in my calves from the fibromyalgia and from strain while walking so that feature was a big deal for me.

Thanks for a really good idea. I can probably swing that along with a dresser if I'm really lucky on the dresser and just get the chair pad. Or luck on a whole chair and settle for plastic drawer units.

I see Ari's helping you!

Oh yes he is! I might not have realized that was a precarious arrangement if he hadn't barreled through it this morning after his imaginary monkeys or whatever he was chasing. They look so sweet sleeping on the bed. Gemini is still curled up on the bed in a different pose with her head on a pillow looking adorable. I almost want to go over and tuck her in.

I'm close to redoing Cat/Wombat now too -- with only two more class assignments to finish and the reorganization under way it'll be much easier working on larger pieces. I have not forgotten and you still get all butterflies created until the box ships!
