Logos for my Website

Alyona Nickelsen is putting my link on her beautiful, graphical Links page and I have her link listed on the page with her book review. She asked for a logo. I didn't have one, hadn't yet designed a banner for my site. I can't use the graphic on the homepage, that's part of a template from SBI! rather than my art and doesn't represent what I can do with OP anyway. So I came up with this one.

Alyona was curious why I'd used black and white when I do a color medium on the site. So I redid the logo with a couple of different stone studies. The polished green stone reduced well, so did the tigereye with double shadows.

Then I tried one using the amethyst crystal but rejected it as not really showing realism -- it looks so sketchy.

It's cool to have a variety of banners though! I might try something else later on, see what else has a white background and would reduce well enough for that without losing so much detail that it wouldn't look good.

So which of these do y'all think looks best? Or should I just use them in different places and have fun with them? Are they all good or just one or just some of them?

I'd keep them all. If you haven't already, you might make a "Link to us!" page on your website and post the graphic banners and maybe the code to post them. That way people who like your site can link to it from their own space. :)

Oh, that would be a cool idea! I'd have to figure out how to do that page, it sounds pretty sophisticated. Maybe there's something in the template about how to do that.

Thanks! That's the one Alyona Nickelsen chose to put on her Links page -- I'm starting to think it looks pretty cool shrunk that small!
