Shell study, 6" x 8" in Cray Pas Expressionist oil pastels with odorless turpenoid wash.

Sascha had her birthday today with cake and ice cream and an outing to a toy store. I gave her the plaster molding kit and tomorrow we'll spread out and make some molded plaster toys. Her mom got her a beautiful tin tea set in a tin box, it looks very old fashioned and vintage, plus two dinosaurs. They're big, well sculpted, sturdy plastic dinosaurs, a Styracosaurus and a Dilophosaurus.

She loves them. She came into my room and introduced them and explained that they were both mommies and going to lay eggs and have babies. Then we watched two episodes of Walking with Dinosaurs, the sea monsters and the polar dinosaurs episodes.

Spring really is getting to my metabolism. Instead of waking up at noon I didn't get up till about four thirty and yet right now I feel exhausted as if I hadn't slept. Must be the changes in the weather. Sometimes in spring I sleep 18 hours like my cat.
