Daily Art



Abstracted Cat Gesture, 4" x 6" Cray-Pas Expressionist oil pastels on wirebound hardback ProArt sketchbook. I drew this from imagination and memory in less than a minute before I realized I could not add one more mark without ruining it. This was odd for me, it's not my usual style at all.

It's weird, it feels like someone else drew it. Someone who's good at minimalism. Maybe I've done one too many Asian watercolors...

Oooh..Ari never looked better!
This reminds me of Picasso's human face sketches. Less is more. I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!! Kudos to you for knowing when to stop. Yay!

Wow, thanks! Yep, this was my minimalist cat! The tongue was absolutely necessary as a focal point, the whole focus of the cat's attention as much as the viewer's.

Maybe I'll try adapting this one to an ACEO... of course I could do it in watercolor for that Asian painting look...
