Writer's Block: Places to Lay Your Head

How many different places (cities, houses, apartments, dorm rooms, etc.) have you lived in? Which is your favorite? And your least favorite?

Over 100. I lost count a long, long time ago. My least favorite -- Minnesota, with Texas a close second. All of the Minnesota times were horrible, bar none. Best favorite ever -- the house in Russellville, Arkansas that we started moving into today! No, I am not kidding -- our new house is absolutely the best coolest place I have ever lived.

Wow. I knew you'd moved a lot, but I didn't realise it was that much.

I've lived in four houses: three in one town and one in another. My favourite will always be the one I grew up in. The least favourite would unfortunately be where I am now, which sucks because we have a mortgage and can't sell at the moment because of the economy and such (and husband doesn't want to move). I love the house itself, just not the location. I miss trees and green and fresh air.

Oh that sounds frustrating. I'd go nuts without the trees and green and fresh air too, that's some of why I love this house so much. We're in the river valley in the middle of mountains -- not the sort of mountains that would leave me sick with altituted sickness but forested gentle rolling old mountains with deep character.

Yeah, I moved a whole lot. Most of those were apartments or rented rooms though. I didn't often live in actual houses unless a rented room was in one. Several residence hotels were fairly good, the one in San Francisco was a lot of fun.
