Writer's Block: It Is What It Is

What oft-repeated quote or common cliché do you find the most annoying when someone says it to you?
"That which does not kill you makes you stronger." Usually followed by "Or something like that." Kitten's version goes "That which does not kill you gives you nasty scars that hurt in bad weather and keeps you up at night screaming." Much truer. There's no benefit to abuse. There's no up side to disability or poverty. People who have the character to face adversity already do. Way too many people are just bruken by it. Even more often, they just lash out at whoever's next to them. A lot of cliches and sayings bug me but this one has to top the list.

Thanks. It's not mine, but she cracked me up the first time she said that and I've hung onto it ever since.
