Writer's Block: I'm with the band

If you could be a member of any musical group, past or present, which group would you choose and why?
Some sort of Irish music pub band with a pagan slant. I'm serious. The only instrument I can play at all well physically is the tin whistle, I love Celtic music and pagan music and the whole thing would be a lot more laid back and fun and mystical than trying to compete in the rock scene. I'd want to write some of the music, but then if I was good enough to be in a band, I could. I would not want to be in an orchestra just playing someone else's music. I don't have the body energy for rock or heavy metal, but if I could sit still playing the tinwhistle and making up interesting pagan quasi-medieval fey music that would suit me fine.

I'm in Cornwall, far south west UK and it is still considered Celtic. I used to play the tinwhistle, I would so love for someone to teach me how to play the bodhran - I have got one but not the knack alas :-/

Ooh yes. Actually I should've just said Celtic since I have Welsh and Scots and English ancestors but no Irish at all. I just love Celtic music. I'm not very good with the tinwhistle but I know if I put the time in on it, I could be. Bodhrans are awesome. It just takes a lot of practice and I wind up putting that time into art and writing.
