Out of meds and computer crashed.

The great grand 17" screen HP laptop I bought last year has started crashing bad. It runs for two or three minutes and then shuts down - wham. Just started doing that today.

So I'm back to using the little Acer Aspire One netbook, which was running slow and kludgy but still functioned when I replaced it with the good laptop above. Thankfully it does still run, if slowly.

Walgreens couldn't fill my prescription for my tramadol or my asthma meds until the doctor answers a fax request. I was too close to running out and my pills ran out yesterday morning. So I haven't done jack since the pills ran out except sleep and hang out online occasionally. Naturally this morning when the laptop choked, things got a whole lot worse fast.

I'm debating replacement or repair. There's a small computer shop near the house that I might be able to get one of these machines fixed up and back in shape, I just don't know yet whether that's cost effective. This hurts.

I'm going offline again to just curl up and try to read or sleep till the pain is over, but that just slammed all my plans into the ground. I did not expect to be sitting around too sick to think straight because the weather's been going good - had five really good days in a row - now it looks like bureacy is eating up my good season. Owww.

Can you try a firmware upgrade? I don't know exactly what that entails but Danny does it to my netbook when it starts acting up.

Thanks for the term. Once my laptop comes back from the little computer shop down the road, I'll be sure to mention that to them when I take the netbook in. Right now slow and kludgy as it is, it's my lifeline.

I might ask about that when I get my laptop back from the little computer repair shop down the block. Thanks for giving me the term. I'll bet that would help. I hope it'll be cheaper to fix this netbook than to replace it- though the cheapest netbook I found at Tiger Direct was only $219 so I would be able to replace this if I had to.

Hopefully I won't need to. Notebook has been sent to repair shop today and life's good - I hope the repairs won't cost THAT much. Once it's in shape fixing this little thing will be a whole lot easier.

This was me, I forgot I wasn't logged in and so it came up anonymous.
